If you have ever had a family portrait session then you know that sometimes it can be hard to come up with new ideas for poses and shots so that you can get a fresh look instead of having the same photos done every year. It can also be hard to make family portraits look natural as they are mostly posed photographs. We can help guide you in making some of these decisions when it comes to creating the family portraits that you want to share with your friends and extended family. Let our team of professional photographers help you create the family photos that you have always wanted.
We will make sure that we get different combinations of people during your photo session. First, we will start with the biggest group. This is usually a photo of the whole family all together. This is a way for us to get everyone used to taking direction and getting in front of the camera for the first time. From there, we will remove people and cycle through combinations such as siblings, parents, aunts, uncles and other groupings. We can even make sure that certain combinations are covered that you have specifically requested. Large groups can seem daunting when it comes to a photoshoot, but not for our pros. If you have a large family or have extended family that wants to be involved in the project, we can help you make that happen.
Sometimes family members can get distracted during a photo shoot if they are not the ones who are currently in front of the camera. Getting everyone involved in the shots is a great way to keep everyone invested in the photos. For example, if the kids are having their photos taken, we will have the parents in line with the camera to help keep their focus and attention. We can even make it fun for the kids while they are not in front of the camera by giving them responsibilities like making faces or counting off the shots. We understand that sometimes kids need a break to keep their energy and attention up. We are okay with that and will even help during break time.
